The city of Montreal, Canada's unofficial capital, is located in the province of Quebec and is perfect as a gentle introduction to the country and as a base from which to explore the surrounding area's wonderful regions.
My suggestion
Montreal is a city that can be explored and discovered at any time of year. In summer, go for a family picnic in Mount Royal Park – a favourite spot with locals. If you're a fan of sports, take advantage of the opportunity to go and watch the Montreal Canadiens hockey team play at the Bell Arena!

Canada's cultural capital, the artistic heart of the French-speaking province.
My suggestion
In summer, take time to experience the city on foot or by bike, as Montreal is full of small galleries, artistic cafés and street art!

Montreal is Quebec's largest city.
My suggestion
I recommend taking a stroll around the port when visiting Old Montreal. In winter, the ice fishermen's tents and the boats trapped frozen in the ice make for an impressive spectacle.
If you are taking off for Canada, and especially for Quebec, we can help you plan so you can travel eco-responsibly! Because Quebec has its own eco-tourism label: Aventure Écotourisme Québec. You can trust them... but still keep your eyes open!
