Maligne Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes that I saw in <a href="/canada/">Canada</a>. Surrounded by mountains, in a magical setting, this destination has something for all age groups. 
At an easy 1-hour drive from the little town of Jasper, Maligne Lake has something for everyone: hiking, cruising, wildlife spotting (bears, wolves, eagles); guaranteed fun all around.
It's a touristy place and the cost of a 2hr cruise is, therefore, quite expensive.
If you want to spot wildlife, I suggest you arrive before or after the groups of visitors. The same goes for photographers who want to immortalise the view. The light is perfect towards 4pm and the sun will be behind you.
