Bolivia bears its nickname of "mosaic country" marvellously. From the snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Real to the multicoloured lagoons of Sur Lipez, passing by the salt desert of Uyuni, you can find landscapes which are just as varied as each other in this country, far from mass tourism. 
With its swampy areas, its tropical jungle and its exotic animals, the department of Beni doesn't depart from the rules. To discover this fabulous region, head to <a href="/bolivia/">Rurrenabaque</a>, just 50 minutes by aeroplane from La Paz. To discover the pink dolphins, piranhas, parrots and other little monkeys of the Pampas del Yacuma, I had to head to the banks of the Yacuma River, not far from the small town of Santa Ana.
