The climate in Bolivia varies depending on the region: cool in the Altiplano, stifling hot in the tropical plains. On the whole, avoid the rainy season which stretches from December to March.

The best time to visit Bolivia is the dry season, which runs from April to November. Indeed, between November and April, rainfall is frequent and sometimes heavy. It all depends too on the region you wish to discover: the Altiplano is cool in winter, whilst in the tropical plains the heat is scorching all year round. We'd choose the months from August to October to explore the famous Salar de Uyuni.

It's the highest region in Bolivia, so its climate is much cooler than in the rest of the country, which makes the visit pleasant. Between November and April, there are major, and fairly regular, floods. Finally, set off to explore the Salar de Uyuni between August and October to benefit from better conditions.
