The Grand Canyon in Australia? Yes, it's not a mix-up. It is situated in the magnificent Blue Mountains National Park in New South Wales, close to Sydney.

My suggestion:
Go in the direction of Blackheath and stop at the Evans lookout or at the picnic area. Half a day is enough to see this site, less impressive than the American Grand Canyon. In the case of heavy rain, the site may be closed.
Summary:

The abrupt sandstone cliffs give this 5.4km walk a dramatic and unique context , which starts at the visitor centre. I really liked this walk, refreshing in summer. After 1.8km, the Govetts Leap lookout is the ideal place for lunch in the middle of this green gorge with the sound of its little waterfalls.

The more you descend the gorge to access the Grand Canyon, the more dense the vegetation becomes, At the bottom, you'll find yourself in the middle of a rainforest which is composed, amongst others, of giant ferns. Turn right towards Greaves Creek and follow the canyon to finish the walk. In total, allow about 3 hours 30 minutes to do the Grand Canyon walk.
