Nang Yuan is made up of two small islands linked by a sand bar, not far from Koh Tao.

My suggestion:
If you want to make the most of this little piece of land, go in the early morning or evening when its quieter. Most tourists, including me, arrive on organized day trips between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm. You can also stay overnight there.
Summary:

Nang Yuan is truly a little piece of paradise. Very close to the heavenly island of Koh Tao, Nang Yuan raises the bar a little higher. I was lucky because there weren’t many people there, whereas in high season, the little beach formed by the sand bar that links the two islands, is packed with sun loungers.

I went there as part of a day trip. The trip started with snorkeling around Koh Tao and ended in Nang Yuan. However, you can make your own way there by long tail boat from the port of Koh Tao.

If you’re looking for a dream destination, you should be more than happy with Nang Yuan. When I landed on this little piece of rock, I headed straight for the viewing point to see those famous picture postcard views, before coming back down for a swim in the crystal clear waters. The only problem is that the ground is covered in dead coral and it hurts your feet...
