This refugee camp is located between the border of Burma and Thailand.

My suggestion:
Although they are used to seeing tourists, always ask for permission before taking pictures of people.
Summary:

During my visit to the village of Ban Nai Soi, I had a serious moral dilemma. On the one hand all that you can see is impressive and distinctive. On the other hand, I don't agree with visiting this site on ethical grounds. It's nothing more than a refugee camp, they are in a very dangerous situation, and so is coming here for tourism a bit of voyeurism?

Finally, I don't agree with the treatment of female "giraffes", who are considered as attractions and suffer greatly. Year after year, rings placed around their neck represent a considerable weight which their body can barely withstand (if you have the chance to guess the weight of several rings, you'll see that they are quite heavy). Consequently, their rib cage contracts and even if the rings are removed, they can die from suffocation (in the past it was even used as a form of punishment).

Now, the choice is yours.
