Busan is South Korea's principal seaside resort. Situated to the south of the country, it's got excellent beaches, numerous temples and culturally interesting sites.

My suggestion:
A two day trip from Seoul, the over populated South Korean capital, is enough.
Summary:

There are two main beaches at Busan, both as nice as each other. Being close to the town centre, they're great for a swim but the scenery's not the prettiest that you'll find in the region. Hitting the beach is the favourite pastime during a holiday in South Korea.

This town is also well known for its commercial role, being a busy port. Even so, there are several spots where you'll get a stunning, panoramic view of the sea.

On a cultural note, there are some superb temples as well as the village of Gamcheon, which sits on a hill and is home to little streets lined with colourful houses.

It's a popular destination with tourists from other Asian countries, who come here for weekends to enjoy its great climate as well as shopping centres such as Lotte or its various markets.
