Mount Rinjani or Gunung Rinjani is on the island of Lombok and is 3,726 metres high. It is considered to be one of the most difficult volcanic treks in south east Asia, but it is also one of the most beautiful.

My suggestion:
You can choose a trek of 2, 3 or 4 days. The longer the trip the shorter the stages and therefore the easier they are. You need to be fit, even though the travel agencies will tell you otherwise.
Summary:

I had barely arrived in Lombok before the travel agents were trying to sell me a trek to Mount Rinjani. After some hard negotiating, I decided to do this trek in 2 days: going as far as the volcanic crater and then going down again, unlike other treks which go up to the summit.

The trek starts at an altitude of 1,000 metres and it's better to tell you outright that it is a hard and relentless climb up to the crater. But the view is worth the torture when you finally get out of the forest. There is scenery that looks like it came out of "The Lord of the Rings" and you can see Bali and the Gili Islands in the distance! Once you reach the crater the only thing left to do is admire the sun setting above the clouds,

It is less well known than Mount Bromo butMount Rinjani is just as beautiful and if you love beautiful scenery then you will adore seeing this during a trip to Indonesia.
