Imagine a historic city almost entirely enclosed in the bends of a little river, which hosts dozens of tiny narrow lanes bordered by medieval houses straight out of a fairy tale and is dominated by an imposing palace which overlooks the city from a rocky hill. That is what awaits you in the amazing city of Cesky Krumlov, one of the wonders of Bohemia and even of Central Europe. A major tourist destination, the city has however not sold its soul for financial profit and has an incredibly large number of quality restaurants, cafes and bars especially in relation to its relatively small size (not even 15,000 inhabitants). For all of these reasons, Cesky Krumlov is one of my favourite places<a href="/czech/"> on the routes around the Czech Republic</a>.
