I went through Jindrichuv Hradec especially to visit its amazing Renaissance castle the country's third largest castle, and I wasn't disappointed. There's a nice little city centre, which resembles that of most Czech cities, with a rectangular main square surrounded by little different-coloured Baroque houses and medieval streets, bordered by the Nezarka River winding through the hilly surroundings. Of course, the castle is the city's main focal point and a visit there allows you to discover some of the most interesting of the palace's 320 rooms! However, I have to admit that although I thought the city was nice, I preferred its neighbours Telc and Trebon, which I found to have more soul and more interesting things to see and do for a <a href="/czech/">few days in the Czech Republic</a>.
