My suggestion
You can see sea-lions all year round without any problem. On the other hand you need patience to see orcas. So you might need to wait for a while. Take a picnic and don't worry about the time, the show is well worth it.

A place at the far north of the Valdes Peninsula in Patagonia, and a wonderful place to observe the local marine life, such as sea lions, penguins and orcas.
My suggestion
It is possible to sleep right on the reserve in a hotel, an eco-lodge or camping for those on a budget, especially in Puerto Pirámides. An excellent option for discovering the local animal life at dawn!
