Puerto Iguazu is a human sized town in the north of Argentina, very close to the Brazilian border. It's where you can get to the amazing Iguazu waterfalls, an absolute must see during a trip to Argentina.

My suggestion

The town is really just a departure point for your visit. So don't bother staying there more than one or two days, unless you want to do an excursion to one of the local tribes.

My suggestion

If you are going to visit the falls I recommend you stay at Puerto Iguazu on the Argentine side, rather than at Foz do Iguacu on the Brazilian side, because Puerto Iguazu is a much smaller, safer and nicer town.
