Los Colorados is a group of red and ochre rocks in North West Argentina.

My suggestion:
If you want a bit of romance or some very special pictures then you should visit Los Colorados around sunset.
Summary:

On Route 40 from Cachi to Salta, only a few kilometres west of the small village of Angastaco,Los Colorados give the surrounding countryside an air of the American far west. You really must stop to see this mostly red rock formation, even if it's just to have a chance to stretch your legs.

A few metres from Los Colorados a statue of Christ is posed among the rocks. It is by an artist from Salta called Colo Cassina and is named "The Christ of Humility and Patience". It's hard not to be impressed by the humanity of the statue's face. The inhabitants of the neighbouring village, Antagasto, go there to confess their sins.

In Los Colorados you will also find quite a few regional birds, including condors. To see them circling in the blue sky of North West Argentina is not to be missed!
