An extinct Patagonian volcano, straddling Argentina and Chile, whose peak is fairly easy to access.

My suggestion:
If your Argentine journey includes Patagonia, you should go camping in Lanin Park, even if you don't want to embark on the climb to the volcano's summit: the place is really awesome.
Summary:

Do you dream about beautiful landscapes, unique adventure and exceeding your physical limits and you aren't necessarily an experienced mountain climber? Welcome to Lanin Volcano! The idea: experience an 8530-foot ascent and descent in two days to reach the summit of this volcano, culminating at more than 12,139 feet above sea level. Needless to say, it's challenging!

I loved the trip, on the one hand for the views that are amazing, of course (deep blue sunken lakes and other volcanoes in the background); but certainly also because it was the first time that used an ice axe and crampons to climb a snow-covered terrain. What an adventure! It's also possible to complete the "trek" over 3 days, just to make the experience a little less physical, and it seems that you can even reach Chile directly from the volcano.
