A stunning country clearly undergoing renewal and regeneration after the genocide. Our party all felt a greater focus could be given to the genocide memorials an we requested stops at various memorials every day. These locations were sympathetically done, and we must continue to remember these events. I will recommend Rwanda to everybody, utterly captivating country with beautiful people and gorillas!
The best parts:
As a country, Rwanda has the most stunning landscapes, views and scenery I have ever experienced. Spending 7 hours in a vehicle driving sounded a little challenging at the start, but there was a different sight to watch all day Long and the vehicle was perfect for our group size. The gorilla trek was outstanding and intensely memorable, our guide for that day was extremely good-the best we had all week. The hotel Chez Lando was superb, best breakfast all week and the final hotel in Akagera was also very good, great views and wonderfully placed. The safari was excellent and we hired a guide who was the best value money we spent all week. The vehicle was great, comfortable and great views.
The worst parts:
At the Top View Hill Hotel in Nyungwe, two of our party lost money of about 200 USD each. We realised one lot had gone missing while we were there and the second lot later. Only one room had a safe in it as this was broken. We asked the staff to fix the safe, they were unable to do so. As a consequence, we are not surprised our money went missing. This is highly disappointing and we would recommend you use a different hotel. Also, while the hotel staff were friendly, it lacked atmosphere and they had a curious approach to food. We ordered dinner in advance, and then they decided to give us a ‘buffet’ which had more limited options we didn’t want. It was a little odd. Finally, on the chimp trek, it was great to see the chimps, but we ended up in a group of ten people (contrary to their policy) which made the trip quite cumbersome. However, the chimps were great!

Dear Jayne Thank you for providing your feedback on your recent trip to Rwanda. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the trip and the excursions. Sorry to hear about the issue with the one hotel, this is something that we will make sure we look into for our future guests. Regards Philip

It was a six day mini-tour of three National Parks in Uganda. It met my need to sample more of the country before starting a one-month volunteer role in SW Uganda. I wanted to see a sampling of wildlife, landscapes and culture. I had no interest in luxury, I just wanted to feel a bit better informed about Uganda and to feel more experienced.
The best parts:
It matched the type of short introductory safari I was looking for

I had a fabulous trip to Rwanda. I had no idea what to expect and I must say that I was impressed by how well organised and clean the country is. The main roads are in perfect condition. People are extremely welcoming and friendly.
The best parts:
The authenticity and simplicity of Rwanda. I loved the trek to the gorillas, the Azizi Life experience as well as Nwengy Forest Resort
The worst parts:
