I'll never forget the welcome I received in Bohol, a small island opposite Cebu. The people there are so friendly! If you go to Bohol, you'll feel like a celebrity! They greeted me, smiled and waved while I was just passing by! I'm not exaggerating. My entire stay in Bohol, in the Philippines, was filled with this kind "hello" and huge smiles on the faces of the island folk. I still can't speak ill of the Filipinos. I boast about them to anyone who wants to know about the country. Of course, I wasn't able to visit all 7000 of the islands that make up the archipelago, but I only have positive feedback about the two islands that I did manage to visit - Cebu and Bohol! For all you divers out there, you must go to the site of Tagbilaran in Bohol as it's among the world's top 10 diving destinations!  Bohol is also home to the famous "Chocolate Hills", a magnificent and highly unusual geological formation. A great way to discover the island is to hire a bicycle or a motorbike. The roads are quieter and less dangerous out there.
