Standing in front of this breathtakingly beautiful town, which sits on a bank, in a peaceful part of a country that tends to be noisy, you won't be able to stop yourself from falling under Srinagar's charm !

My suggestion

Choose your houseboat carefully, make sure you can leave it whenever you want to go out and don't hesitate to use a local, rental agency to avoid any nasty surprises.

Be careful when renting a house boat, as scams are common, particularly when booked over the net. It's best to go through a reputable, local agent.
