Marari is an idyllic beach in Kerala, to the southwest of India. Well off the tourist trail, it's the perfect place to recharge your batteries in a seaside setting.

My suggestion:
I suggest you stay for at least three days to really appreciate the peace and quiet that Marari Beach has to offer. Find a hotel that suits your needs and settle down for a relaxing few days.
Summary:

During our stay in Kerala, we used a local agency to organise a tour that would take us off the beaten track, without missing the region's hidden treasures. The little-visited Marari, was on our list of places to see during our holiday.

We arrived at sunset and settled down to a delicious cocktail (non-alcoholic, as booze is banned in Kerala!). The next day we woke up at the same time as the fishermen, so we could watch them prepare their nets and head off to work - a fascinating sight!

Take your time to enjoy Marari. Taking long walks along the beach, lazing on a thatched-roofed terrace, enjoying a seafood dinner, sitting under a starlit sky... It's a romantic getaway and a great base from which to explore the rest of Kerala.
