Do not miss the arrival by boat at Kom Ombo, the village which houses the Sobek and Haroeris temple.

My suggestion:
I first saw the Sobek and Haroeris temple from the boat. The temple is indeed on the bank of the Nile. The setting is exceptional.
Summary:

After a few more steps filled with snake charmers and pedlars, I entered the temple. The temple of Sobek and Haroeris has a unique characteristic in Egypt, which is that it is bipartite. It is dedicated to two different divine triads. Half of it is dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris and the other half to the crocodile god Sobek, the god of fertility.

I particularly noticed the cornice which surmounts the enormous facade, the magnificent reliefs and the flowers of the columns. The representations of the sacred crocodile are really beautiful. The picture on the outer wall showing medical and surgical instruments, as well as women in various positions of childbirth, is simply incredible. I did not see this anywhere else while on my trip to Egypt .
