Edfu houses a temple dedicated to Horus, the second largest sanctuary in Egypt.

My suggestion:
Take the time to look at the inscriptions.
Summary:

Upon entering, the Temple of Edfu struck me as very imposing. It has been very well preserved. This allows you to see the different parts of a temple from this era, even if it has undergone some developments.

To begin, the monumental entrance allows us to enter a courtyard surrounded by porticos. The granite statue of Horus lets you familiarise yourself with this falcon god. The courtyard overlooks a hypostyle hall and then rooms containing annexed chapels.

I really enjoyed learning the layout of a temple and those elements which are still intact. The floral-patterned columns are magnificent. The inscriptions on the walls show the ritual which was followed to honour Horus. Their preserved condition is impressive, compared to others observed during my trip to Egypt.
