Kasane is a city with nearly 10,000 inhabitants, located in the north of Botswana. It is very close to the "4 corners of Africa", the border crosses with Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia, located close to Victoria Falls.

My suggestion:
If you don't have a huge budget, leave Kasane (rooms from £40) and explore Chobe National Park with an organised tour or hired 4x4, or the neighbouring Victoria Falls via public transport.
Summary:

I found the town quite pretty and pleasant, set on green hills just where the Chobe River and the powerful Zambezi River meet. It is an important centre for tourists in Botswana, and I appreciated the fact that you can find inexpensive hotels, restaurants, banks with cash points and exchange offices… You appreciate the comfort after a stay overnight in the bush!

I left Kasane to visit the Chobe with a local agency. On the other hand, there isn't much to do there apart from planning your excursions. Don’t rent a car there to go to the falls, as the formalities to travel across the borders are very lengthy and costly. If you need to continue your trip to Zambia or Zimbabwe, simply transfer with your luggage to Victoria Falls (the city) or Livingstone.
