Day 1: Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City

When you arrive in Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be smilingly met by your local guide and driver who will transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be your own. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels Exploration And Evening Street Food Tour

After breakfast, you will drive to Cu Chi Tunnels where you will visit the amazing network of underground tunnels was used during the Vietnam War by the Viet Cong. This huge construction was a habitation for villagers in the war time. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the Vietnam War despite its proximity to Saigon. Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide. At 17.30, you will embark on a quick, fun and very tasty overview of Ho Chi Minh City’s best street food. Get a glimpse of local life as you sample a range of dishes in a little neighbourhood that’s been serving cheap and cheerful street food for nearly 30 years.

During the tour, you’ll try everyday Vietnamese dishes, some with a little taste of France, some with a little taste of China. There’s even a little taste of Korea! We finish our eating adventures with Vietnamese dessert-in-a-glass. The 3-hour tour is designed to give you the confidence to go out and try street food on your own once you’re released back into the wilds of Ho Chi Minh City. We’ll take you to and from the tour area by xe om (motorbike taxis). If you’re worried about riding on the back of a motorbike, we do have the scardey-cat option of taking a taxi. This requires a slightly earlier pickup (to navigate the peak hour traffic) and a small surcharge. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: The Mekong Delta By boat, Bicycle

Today you will head to the Mekong Delta. Your Mekong journey starts at Cai Thia local market of Cai Be district. You will pick up your bicycles for 1-2 hours exploring the village of Hoa Loc known for best mango in the Mekong Delta. The route takes you on small village path, seeing traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves. Call in a local and peaceful house where the local host will show you how to prepare some local cakes and taste it with hot tea.

You will then return to your boat to enjoy a tasty lunch on board while cruising toward to An Binh Island. Next, a rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to experience the peacefulness and quietness of the Delta. You will then check in a cozy home-stay. Join hand to cook some dishes with the host and enjoy tasty home diner. The dinner is a great opportunity for you to chat with the host and learn about the culture, people, and history of this Island. Overnight in a private room of local house.

Day 4: Boat Transfer To Vinh Long

After a simple breakfast, a short boat transfer will take you to Vinh Long where the bicycles are available for you to ride to Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables. Continue cycling the village path to visit Phuoc Hau village which is famous for vegetable farming. Your guide will show you around and learn the process of planting, watering, harvesting, also other local activities. The cruise will end at Vinh Long where your vehicle will transfer you to Can Tho City in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Check in hotel and the remainder of the day will be your own! Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 5: Boat trip to visit Cai Rang Floating Market

Today an half hour boat cruise will take you to visit the vibrant Cai Rang floating market to experience a special type of market in which all purchasing activities take place on boats and ships. Then continue to small a canal to visit a fruit garden where your guide will show you around before having a plate of delicious fruits. Return to Can Tho and observing the rural life and the lush vegetation along the riverbanks. You will then drive to Chau Doc with stop en-route to visit a crocodile farm.
Arrival in Chau Doc in the mid-afternoon, check-in and stay overnight in Chau Doc, a small and little visited town at Vietnam – Cambodia border.

Day 6: Nice Visit Of Tra Su Forest

After breakfast, you will take a slow boat cruising upstream of Bassac River (the second branch but larger than the Mekong, that originally splits from the main Mekong flow at Phnom Penh, and then grows into its largest tributary) to Long Khanh Island, makes a turn to Dao canal. The boat enter Dao canal to Tra Su Canal. On the way, you shall be contemplated wonderful landscapes along the riverside. It will arrive at Tra Su forest in Vinh Trung Commune, Tinh Bien District, An Giang Province. Visit Tra Su Sanctuary Forest by sampan through endless waterways flanked by mangroves and lush greenery. Return to Chau Doc Town by road for lunch.

Afternoon visit Floating Fish farm (witness local life on Floating Fish Farm, meet the fish farmers, see the fish being fed). Proceed to the Cham (Muslim Village), opportunities to contemplate Cham People’s Culture as well as visit Cham People’s weave fabric. Then you will take “Xe Loi”, a local means of transportation in Chau Doc for with 30 minutes from Cham Village to Con Tien Bridge then to Chau Doc Market and wander through to learn about local produce. Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 7: Sa Dec Town Exloration

The morning will be your own until being picked up and transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City. You will stop en-route at Sa Dec to visit the Lover House – an atmospheric 1895 house on the riverfront was once the residence of Huynh Thuy Le, the 27-year-old son of a rich Chinese family who Marguerite Duras had an affair with in 1929 when she was only 15 – immortalising the romance in The Lover , eventually made into a film. The house is a Sino-French design with intricate interior woodwork, mother-of-pearl inlaid doors, heavy wooden furniture and original floor tiles, made in France.You will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, your time will be at leisure until being picked up to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure flight. Farewell from Vietnam!
