After making contact through the online website, Tiago proposed an itinerary which met our needs. Prior to the trip with him, we had spent a week in Portugal, in Lisbon and Porto, touring with our son and his family. After they left, with Tiago we went to the Douro Valley, Coimbra, Nazaré, Óbidos, and other places. The hotels were excellent and Tiago took us to good restaurants. He is very knowledgeable about architecture and history.
The best parts:
We liked everything about it, the itinerary was varied and interesting and well paced for us. Our guide, Tiago, was amazing, well informed, very knowledgeable, entertaining, and pleasant to spend time with. He was extremely competent in all ways and able to adapt smoothly to changing conditions.
The worst parts:
The only bad part was my husband’s illness. Tiago helped us get prompt excellent medical care which allowed us to continue with and enjoy our trip.

We covered the country from Lisbon in the south to Porto in the north and other cities like Sintra, Cascais, Obidos, Batalha, Guimaraes, Marvao, Boscras, Tomar, Evora, Monsaraz, Mertola, Tavira, Coimbra, the Algarves and I am sure I forgot some.
The best parts:
My wife and I travelled to Portugal for our Honey Moon and we wanted to see as much as we could in 10 days. It was the most amazing trip we have ever been on. We located the local agency through Evaneos and reached to see if they had availability for our tour. Tiago contacted us via skype and we provided our initial requirements for the trip. Tiago was very personable and made us feel like he would take care of the arrangements. Several weeks later he contacted us with the proposed itinerary and it was absolutely amazing. Tiago took us throughout Portugal and travelled with us to every city we visited. To say it was truly amazing is such an understatement that I cant really find the words to say how amazing this trip was I would like to break this into several categories 1. Requirements – We presented our requirements to Tiago which were a. We wanted to visit medieval architecture but also wanted to explore some coastline b. We did not want to walk so far every day that we were totally exhausted at night. This also included walking down hill rather than up c. We wanted to eat and sleep local so no tourist places I can honestly say that Tiago met every single requirement to the point where when we got to the bottom of the walk he would go back up, get the car and pick us up. Truly amazing. The historic hotels we stayed in were magnificent. 2. Knowledge – In every place that we visited Tiago was able to provide knowledge of that area from an historical perspective. He was able to respond to the question we had and he add context. He was really knowledgeable and most personable. I feel like he was our friend and not our tour guide. 3. Flexibility – My wife’s grandparents were originally from Portugal in a town called Boscras. My wife had no knowledge of the location but wanted to visit to see if she could find anyone who knew her grandparents. Tiago drove us to the area and walked around the town until he found a contact for us to speak to. From there we were able to speak with a few of the town folk and they identified her grandparents and the actual church they were married in. Traditional tours would not have provided us that opportunity. Other times we spent more time in some locations based on our interest and less in others and Tiago was patient and kind in the process We also stopped off at points that were not on the itinerary but because Tiago knew we would be interested in those places We spent a fair amount of time in the car with Tiago and he was able to converse on many topics and conversation was very easy and comfortable. I only speak English but my wife speaks Portuguese and so Tiago would speak in good English so that I could understand. He is a perfect gentleman, perfect host. Portugal is more beautiful than I ever imagined so if you have not been there I highly recommend contacting Tiago.
The worst parts:
it was too short.... We could have moved there....

I found original destination on the internet, chosoe the Spa and later found Nunu to do transport and tours. He was most helpful and also booked Hotel in Porto. We stayed at Spa for the mineral waters and treatments then went on tour to Guimares which was great. Nuno recommended**************Hotel in Porto where we were very satisfied. On the way a trip to Quitna de Avelada which was so much more then I expected, beautiful and lunch felt like a wedding. From Porto we went to Fishing village with a trip to Sardine factory and lunch at a fish market the likes I've never seem All Spectacular.
The best parts:
I have come back with my group of 28 women from a wonderful time in Portugal. All the help and positive experiences were executed by Nuno from Evaneos. A most charming and efficient tour guide one will never find. He helped me pick excursions that were beautiful. My group has traveled to many Spas around the world for the last 20 years. The consensus of the ladies was all positive. We loved your country and especially the people.
The worst parts:
The Hotel & Spa *********** was my choice and truly not a 4* as advertised. Thermal waters were wonderful but hotel was a bit tired and neglected. Staff was not very responsive to our needs which I believe came from management. Our group is fun and playful and we all have a good sense of humor, so we made a lot of jokes about it.

It is hard to prioritize a perfect trip but we loved Porto, Lisbon and Obidos. We particularly loved all of the [personal attention that was made for us, especially my wife who has a disability. the selection of restaurants and places to visit was just tremendous. If your company has other travel specialists like Tiago than you are world class and a leader in your field. Tiago took pictures and you have our permission to use them any way you want to.
The best parts:
The highlight of the Trip was our guide Tiago. We now consider him a member of our family and I would highly recommend him for anyone planning a trip to Portugal or the Azores. He was just amazing in every aspect of the tour.
The worst parts:
absolutely nothing from start to finish. Best trip we have ever been on.We absolutely love Portugal.

Every location we visited had something to offer that made the trip varied and enjoyable. The quality of the accommodation was very good and our hosts friendly and accommodating.
The best parts:
Destinations, Hotel room quality, Road map in what to see and planned route
The worst parts:
Hidden costs we ended up having to pay for that was not known before we arrived (guides lunch, amount of tolls, amount of parking costs etc).

Mi amigo, Pedro, assisted us with our decision to book private tours of the Douro Valley near Porto and a tour of Sintra. He was extremely helpful with coordinating the schedules for both day trips and did not pressure us. We asked for a tour of the Douro, a short boat trip, a winery tour with a vegetarian lunch, a hike in a remote area or exploration of an historical town. He made several suggestions for winery tours and towns and we ultimately chose ***********winery in Pinhao and a visit to the town of Amarante. These choices proved to be perfect for our needs. Ana, our driver for the Sintra tour, was awesome! She knew shortcuts, special places, was knowledgeable about the area and passionate about Portugal. Ana went above and beyond expectations and we highly recommend her. We would also highly recommend Pedro for planning a vacation or tour in Portugal!
The best parts:
Because of our limited time in Portugal, booking private drivers for the Douro Valley Wine tour and the Sintra area tour proved to be the correct decision. We were able to enjoy the companionship of the drivers who were both knowledgable about the respective areas and were efficient even though crowds were an issue in Sintra.
The worst parts:
The streets of Porto were extremely crowded and the Palaces of Sintra were a mass of humanity even though we arrived early. Our ticket voucher was not accepted at Quinta da Regaleira and we had to walk back downhill to the car and ask our driver for assistance clearing up the confusion. This wasted approximately forty minutes, but we were eventually able to tour the grounds.

Overall we loved Portugal and its many parts. We managed to see so many different aspects of the country in our trip, and particularly enjoyed the people, the food, the wine, the history, and the variety. This was ensured in the planning stage where Tiago had worked hard to ensure we had the variety of trip we required for our mixed age family. Favourite moments were many, and varied - most lunchtimes where Tiago helped us find local specialities; magical locations - hard to beat Marvao, Porto, the Duoro, hidden beaches, coves and restaurants; lovely people, helpful and understanding; Tiago - I honestly can't think of a better guide and friend for us while we were in Portugal. Without him and his guidance we wouldn't have experienced half of what we did, and would have no doubt wasted time on unnecessary trips.
The best parts:
Planning - being guided by someone with extensive knowledge of the country to make sure we had the right itinerary for us. Flexibility - Tiago understood us as a group and helped adapt the schedule as possible to suit us. Delivery - Tiago could not have done more to help us out, and make sure that we were happy and getting what we wanted from the trip. He was always available and willing to go the extra step to make sure we were always comfortable. Fun - While we saw and learnt so much about the country and its history, culture and food, we did this and also enjoyed everything we did, as Tiago was exactly the right personality for us.
The worst parts:
The 3 hour delay at the airport on the way out meant we had less time for our wonderful trip. A morning of rain on our third day

Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and all the nearby coastal cities are beautiful with lots to do and experience. Our stay was so much more enjoyable with Tiagos planning and all his effort to expose us to the amazing sites, culture, history and Portuguese culinary delights
The best parts:
Tiago was wonderful! He planned out our trip perfectly so that we were able to avoid long queues and cover all the beautiful sites and still have plenty of time to enjoy restaurants with breath taking views and delicious food he took us to. He definitely knows how to avoid all the tourist traps and made lots of suggestions that we never would have know even after all the research. He also provided a lot of information for our second leg of the trip of things to see, try and avoid.
The worst parts:
That the time past so quickly

I had never been to Portugal and wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything. Nuno sent over many suggestions and made sure the trip was just what we wanted it to be. We saw a lot of Lisbon and also the surrounding areas- all of the tour guides, drivers and others we met were professional, knowledgable and friendly. Every experience from the cooking school to the sail around Lisbon harbor were incredible and we hated to leave!
The best parts:
We really loved it all and felt like we got a little taste of everything. Cromwell loved the dolphins and Bartlett loved the sailboat tour of the harbor. I loved the gardens at the Pena Palace and the treasure hunt (and so did the kids!) I loved how we had our own driver and mostly private tours- and they were all fantastic. Nuno and the whole ****** team were fantastic from beginning to end- helped suggest events based upon my likes and dislikes, met us during part of our stay and made sure to contact us to see that we had everything we needed during the stay. It could not have been a better trip!
The worst parts:
Really nothing...

Our trip included a week in Lisbon, 9 days in the Algarve, and 12 days driving around the rest of the country, including stops in Mertola, Evora, Marvao, Batalha, Tomar, Fatima, Aveiro, Porto, Guimaraes, Douro Valley, Coimbra, Nazare, and Obidos.
The best parts:
The portion of our month-long visit to Portugal organized by Evanos went very well indeed. Accommodations were fine, and as advertised, with good locations in the cities and towns. The sights recommended to visit were fun, with a range from well known to more obscure. Distances traveled between accommodations were appropriate. We found Portugal to be a clean and tidy and polite country with excellent highways which made driving pleasant.
The worst parts:
There were no worst parts, except for the occasional downpour and cool day which we were not expecting in April.

We loved the city of Lisbon. It's a great city to walk around and Adriana and Pedro were very good guides. We enjoyed Evora and the Alentejo wine region. Two particular highlights were Cintra and the boat ride out of Sesimbra. These will remain with us for a long time.
The best parts:
The destination itself - Portugal - was beautiful. The care that was taken by the team to tailor the trip to our interests and needs. The drivers and guides - all were very professional, warm and went above and beyond.
The worst parts:
We liked pretty much everything Our accommodations were fine. However, it took a couple of days for some members of our group to figure out that it wasn't a hotel. I think they were expecting the amenities of a hotel. The staff there were not as helpful as the local agency's team. I think part of this is because there were limited hours when they provided service.

Both Lisbon and Porto were magical cities with so much to see and do - and the food was an amazing experience. Our guide Tiago knows the country so well so it was a treat to have him show us and share with us his Portugal. Our overnight in the country side was charming and beautiful and our host could not have been more welcoming and inviting. We spent three days in Lisbon with side trips to Sintra and then drove north through Coimbra, Nazare, with a stop at the Shrine of Fatima, and up to Porto for three nights in that city exploring and experiencing that historic city, its charms, its food and its delicious Port wines.
The best parts:
Our guide Tiago - he was amazing - took us to all the most pertinent and interesting spots, was knowledgeable and fun, gave us great suggestions for restaurants - and it was a very comprehensive tour of Portugal including Lisbon, Porto and points in-between. All in all a fantastic experience with great sights, people and especially the food.

USA to Lisbon (3 days of touring). Lisbon to Porto day - 10 hour day trip from Lisbon, stopping at all the beautiful towns and sights along the way. Porto (2 days of touring, port tasting and food). Porto to Salamanca, Spain vial the Douro River Cruise (2 days) with a stop in Regua Douro Hotel. 7 wonderful days in Portugal. With a personal guide (Tiago) the entire time. Spain: Salamanca, Merida, Sevilla, Granada (Alhambra), Toledo and Madrid. 9 wonderful days in Spain that was a self driving tour. All of the Spanish hotels and sight visits were pre arranged by Tiago, our Portugal tour operator. Everything was perfectly coordinated and set up.
The best parts:
Our guide (Tiago) was Excellent. He was magical! He has an Great positive attitude, friendly person, pleasant disposition and incredibly knowledgeable about every location, tourist sight, and local food and beverage. Tiago's itinerary schedule was spot on. Wonderful timing of location visits and meal stops. Not crammed nor rushed but rather, a pleasant and enjoyable pace that allowed time to stop and enjoy those locations that we like the most. We Highly recommend Taigo and the Lisbon (Portugal) tour company. They arranged every hotel room, sight visit and recommended restaurants, and must see sights in Portugal and Spain.
The worst parts:
Having to leave Taigo in Portugal, when we went to Spain. We wanted him to join us there but he wasn't licensed in Spain. We missed him
