Other than the Hotel experience we were happy. Panama is an interesting city very diversified and clean. If you take the Canal Tour be prepared to encounter waiting around and delays beyond the companies control
The best parts:
The trip was great, from start to finish. The driver Felix was courteous on time and provided great service. The Canak Tiur was good but longer than expected due to traffic on the canal. Normally there are 399 peopke on this boat ; our trip was only 90 which was much better otherwise it would have been tough to get around.’ Dario our private guide for the city tour was Great a very knowledgeable young man, well educated and did a fine job.
The worst parts:
Our hotel was lovely ********** but don’t send any guests there it has 3?fkoors and the top floor is a disco Lazatea which goes from 10-3:09an every night. Terrible we went up there for a drink at 6:00 pm and had to leave due to the music, we asked them to turn it down but they wouldnt. We moved our room from 2 bd floor to the 1st no balcony but it smelled mouldy with no window. For the money spent not a good place to stay. Everyone was complaining to the staff. Great restaurant next door *********** but that doesn’t help when you have had no sleep.

We flew into Panama City at 8:00 in the morning, were met by a very friendly driver who stayed with us for all the Panama City trips. He took us to meet our guide for a 5 hour tour of the Panama Canal and the Biodiversity Museum. We then checked into our hotel and had a lovely afternoon/evening in *************. We then flew to Boquete to spend time in the mountains and jungle. After 2 nghts we drove over the mountains to get to Bocas de Toro and had a lovely 2-day stay at the ************** Hotel on *****************.
The best parts:
We had just 6 days to see Panama AND we wanted to relax on the beach. We got it all, we had an excellent sampling of the highlights of the country. All the accommodations were very good, the drivers were on time, friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the country.
The worst parts:
It was a lot of hassle to get to where we wanted to go. We had to leave at 6:00 a.m. from Boquete and drive 4 hours over a dicey mountain road to get to the boat that took 40 mins. to get to Boca to get to the taxi that bumped and swayed for 1/2 hour over a sand-filled road that barely existed to get to our hotel.

We loved our time spent in Panama. The canal was pretty amazing as we watch the cargo ships go by. Boca Chica had great beaches and it was fun to island hop during our time there. The Seagull Cove Resort made the trip truly memorable. The manager of the resort did a great job. The staff were so helpful. Best New Year's Eve party at the *************.
The best parts:
- Enjoyed working with Greta. She listened to my request and created a great itinerary. She provided us with updates. - *******Hotel. Great location, great service and the food was delicious. - Morning walk in Soberania National Park. The guide was very knowledgeable. - All the drivers. The driver in Gamboa was exceptional and knew a lot about Panama. - ***************. Amazing staff, great location and overall relaxing. This place was the highlight of our trip. The staff at this resort went above and beyond.
The worst parts:
- ***************Resort. By far the worst hotel we have ever been to. The staff was horrible. The resort is rundown. The food was awful. Wish we didn't stay there.

We were met on arrival and driven to Gamboa resort, ideally situated for numerous trips. We then drove ourselves to numerous places, including a place with only 2 rooms which was a sloth sanctuary, a couple of mountain lodges, a lovely place at Bocca Chica, seagull cove, which has just 5 individual bungalows overlooking the cove, where kayaks were available. We finished our 23 day tour with a couple of days exploring Panama city. Everything worked like clockwork thanks to Philippe and his team.
The best parts:
Most of it. It was a well planned trip, allowing us to get a good cross section of what Panama has to offer. The fact that we had a hire car meant that we could set our own pace. From trekking in the rain forests to lying in a hammock on a tiny island, the whole thing was superb.
The worst parts:
Getting pulled for speeding! The large size of Gamboa resort, which is geared up primary to cater for coach tours rather than individual travellers.

Due to a last minute cancellation of our trip to Nicaragua we found ourselves going to Panama. So pleased we did. We spent the first part of the holiday in the highlands walking and climbing the volcanco. Then a few days at Bocas enjoying the beach. Back to Panama City for trips to the National Parks for bird watching and meeting the local tribes. Off back to the coast, San Blas, to spend time with the Guna people, before finishing our trip with a visit to the canal. Each part of the holiday had so many highlights, a visit is a must to fully appreciate what Panama has to offer.
The best parts:
It was very well organised. Included everything we had asked for and everything they said would happen did happen and at the time they said. Panama is an amazing country and we would recommend people to go. There is something there for everyone. One day you are in the rain forest, the next you are by the Caribbean Sea, the next you are in the city. The choice of accommodation was inspired. Particular praise must go to our guide in Boquete, Cesar Gonzalez, who was simply the best
The worst parts:
Nothing, the local agency did a brilliant job organising our trip

We were going to have a long layover in Panama City after a 10 day trip to Peru, and my husband always wanted to see the Panama Canal, so I deliberately chose flights that would provide enough time to take a half-day tour of the city, including the Canal.
The best parts:
Our guide, Miguel, was knowledgeable and flexible, adjusting our tour as needed. He was also thoughtful to my husband's walking limitations. All in all, the tour was exactly what we wanted and expected.
The worst parts:
I don't recall receiving and looked but did not find a final summary email of expectations prior to our tour, just an acknowledgement of payment. Such a summary ('Your guide will monitor your flight and meet you outside the baggage claim area with a sign.... etc.') As I usually get such a message, I worried (unnecessarily) that I had perhaps not given the required flight info and, until we actually found the guide exactly where he might be expected, I was a little anxious. This was the tail end of a long, complex trip and I was tired, so having the reassurance of a summary email would have eased my mind.

The travel itinerary designed by the local travel agent, Philippe, was simply out standing and meticulous, covering all the 3 main regions in Panama - The Panama city and surroundings including the jungle, the mountains & the beaches in 10 days. Phillipe's idea of saving one hotel room for a later check out from the hotel was unique and helped us to relax just before our departure from Panama city back home. I'll certainly look forward to more positive travel experiences through Evaneos.
The best parts:
Panama is a wonderful detination for family travel, but the country itself is not good at promoting tourism, comparing it to it's neighbour, Costa Rica. Tourism is still developing in Panama. But the best thing I liked is that I booked my family trip thorugh Evaneos, which seems to have set some standards for local tour providers. That puts serious world travelers such as me at ease, during the course of booking and also during travel.
The worst parts:
At one point in David airport, we had to wait for 20 min for the driver to arrive. I had to make an emergency phone call to the agency to remind them that we were waiting at the airport.

We found the destination in Swedish television and after that program we decided that we want to explore Panama. I think we enjoyed Bocas del Mar the most but all places where different and nice.
The best parts:
We liked more less everything and it was very well organized. Fine hotels and resorts good drivers
The worst parts:
The only thing that we could have been without is the Quetzial Trail. A long hike and very little to see. The guide did although a good job. We saw more birds at the resort. We would rather have don a Zip-line tour. We liked Bouquet and the nature there. We also miss Azul Paradise which we saw as the edge of the whole tour. Red Frog was not bad but still not the same.

A couple of days on a coffee plantation on a volcano at Boquete with beautiful gardens and wonderful bird watching.
The best parts:
Enjoyed every aspect of the trip. Our tour operator, Phillipe, organized a seamless tour to meet our specifications and he went above and beyond our expectations. Prior to the start of the tour, he always answered our queries promptly. The accommodations were excellent. The drivers and guides were always reliable, punctual pleasant and knowledgeable.
