The trip was very well organised and everything went to plan
The best parts:
We enjoyed the sites, The first hotel was very basic but very friendly and helpful The********** hotel had very friendly staff and lovely rooms, Raul was a great guide, genuinely loved his country and interested in its history. He was very courteous, considerate and informative throughout our travels. He appeared very well read and informed on current affairs generally with a good command of English.
The worst parts:
the travel was not that interesting due to mainly travelling on main roads with no view but understandably needed to cover all of the sites. Raul had to leave us to another guide on the Sunday/Monday who acted as a taxi driver rather than guide, had little command of English, Gave us next to no information at any of the sites we had to read the information at the sites ourselves. She was using her phone to text people at traffic lights and when the lights were green on many occasions we stat at the lights until the text had been sent and drivers behind were annoyed. Unless we tried to make conversation she was silent. I cannot recommend her as a replacement to Raul and it ruined our last two days travels. The Hotel on Holbox was not very friendly, restaurant staff were more interested in the TV than waiting on our table even though the restaurant was not well used in the evening often only a couple of tables use. room was nice but the shower only trickled water and was easier to wash in the sink.

Our trip to Mexico was amazing! This was our third trip using Evaneos and by far it has been the best one. All thanks to the local agent in partnership with Evaneos in Mexico, excellent recommendations and costumer service. She was quite accommodating, both before the trip, where she tailored the itinerary to meet our needs and our budget (she even calculated for us a budget per day which turned out to be pretty close to what we ended up spending) and during the trip as well by being in contact with us to check if we were satisfied with our itinerary or if we needed anything. We definitely recommend local agencies in parternship with Evaneos and we will surely go back to Mexico!
The best parts:
We liked pretty much everything about our trip itinerary, the cenotes, archeological sites, hotels, everything!
The worst parts:
The only thing we didn't like was the fact that one of us had Moctezuma revenge for a couple of days.

Had lived in Mexico for 27 months in 1980s and wished return. Enjoyed special guided portions including visits to arts/crafts artists and off the cuff meals and local visits.
The best parts:
All went very well with Guides, Drivers and Lodging. Pleased with trip and will recommend your agency.
The worst parts:
Bit disappointed that approved lodging not available for Oaxaca portion but realized late booking.

We really enjoyed the trip mostly. Special thanks to Hector. We spent most time with him and it was really comfortable to have him around with us. The Pyramid and cultural tour was fun and worthwhile.
The best parts:
The whole trip was great. Our guide, Hector and Gabriel were awesome. We were taken care very well.
The worst parts:
There were some miscommunications about the pickup during stay at mexico city ie. The wrong telephonr number, wrong driver and ambiguous place to meet. Since the hotel we were staying is located in downtown and it is really difficult to find the parking. We often had to call Evaneos office and also needed assistance from hotel staff to help out. This caused delay and could be hectic sometimes.

We started in Cancun and drove to Chichen Itza and then on to Merida from where we visited Uxmal and Kabah. After flying to Chihuahua we took the train to Creel and Divisdero with activities in Copper Canyon. A further stop in Cerocahui before continuing by train to El Fuerte before flying to Mexico City for a visit to Teotihuacan and taking in some sites in the City itself
The best parts:
Sindy was great from start to finish and produced an excellent itinerary along the lines of what we asked for and within budget. We saw a lot of Mexico in a short period of time and would certainly consider returning to either repeat certain parts or to spend longer in some destinations. Highlight of the trip was definitely our time spent in Copper Canyon and the train journey which was spectacular
The worst parts:
Some of the pickups were a bit hit and miss which we were prepared for and did not affect or interrupt any of our activities. Wifi in some of the hotels was very poor and in this day and age it is required for a whole range of activities so should be factored in more carefully for customer itineraries.

Our trip was tremendously involved & kudos to Ivana for putting it all together & organizing so many moving parts. Every tour she suggested that I wasn't sure I wanted (such as food tour in Mex City & indigenous peoples tour near San Cristobal) was really fun or amazing or both! Ivana knows her stuff!! We were thrilled with the itinerary she put together because it kept us on track & some of the little added hints (about taxi costs, reasons for departure timing, etc) really helped us plan. Also, of all the guides we had, we especially liked Dante in Mex City who took us to Coyacan (22-Oct), Cuernavaca/Xochicalco (23-Oct) and Teotihuacan (25-Oct); he was very well versed with details of history & art; he negotiated through a lot of traffic very calmly & he was fun to talk with during lunch stops or while driving. We would definitely recommend both Ivana, Dante; all the other guides we had were also good but some were more abrupt or late in arriving.
The best parts:
We had several 'best parts.' All the tours in Mexico City were wonderful & the order was great! We got to see part of the city right away & begin to learn our way around; then a nice mix of 2 rest days & all other tours. Every tour was well worth it! We especially loved Teotituacan. We actually could have used even more days in Cuidad de Mexico to see all the museums. Also, the last 9 days traveling from Oaxaca to Puerto Morelos was great in many ways also; but we were covering a pretty vast distance in a relatively short time & some areas deserved more time (primarily San Cristobal de Las Casas).
The worst parts:
Traffic in Mexico City!! (not your fault!) Crowded archeological sites (primarily Chichen Itza & Tulum), & all the vendors within either bio-reserves (such as Agua Azul) or UNESCO world sites (Chichen Itza!)

Palenque and La Venta park are amazing. But we think Alexes(?) animal refuge should be added to ‘must visit places And Oaxaca town and the area are also interesting but we needed more time... there is so much to see! One day wasn’t enough.
The best parts:
Flexibility and understanding in organising the trip with the local agency. The local agency took responsibility and solved problem when it was needed quickly and efficiently. And the ****** they give us! The driver/guide was outstanding.
The worst parts:
The hotel in Palenque was a little bit too ‘ Commercial ’ for us, it was perfectly comfortable but it luck the charm of the other hotels we stayed.

Mexico City was a lively destination and just ramping up for Day of the Dead when we arrived. On our walk down Avenue Paseo de la Reforma, the sidewalks were full of huge, brilliantly painted skulls and fantastical beasts. We loved all that we learned from our guide and were impressed that our guide and driver could get us to a large number of tourist destinations within just four days in such a busy city. The fatigue of being in a big city was buffered by their strategic decision-making. After Mexico City we spent a second week in the Colonial Highlands, Puebla, Quertaro and San Miguel de Allende.
The best parts:
First, Harriett from ***, the Evanoes agency in Mexico, built a trusting relationship with me before the trip and made certain I had 24/7 access to either her cell phone or that of her colleague when we were in Mexico. I also appreciated the very complete nature of the itinerary document she complied and the supporting documents Evanoes sends along with the final itinerary to make sure you travel smart with regards to money, safety, food, healthcare, communications, etc. I loved the hotels that Harriet booked for us and the superb quality of the tour guide she selected, Elvita (who was with us for four days), and our driver (Noe, who stayed with us for two weeks). Besides making the history of Mexico come alive for us, we loved taco night with our tour guide where she introduced us to a new neighborhood and taught us about some of the finest Mezcal and culinary-worthy tacos. The second week, Noe, was our chaperone all through out the countryside and it was easy to spend so much time in his company. As a very experienced driver, he know all the destinations and was a very good driver.
The worst parts:
I can't think of a thing I didn't like! And I consider myself an experienced, older traveler who is accustomed to 4 and 5 star accommodations and fine restaurants.

I always wanted to return to CDMX as I was there when I was 5! I also wanted my son to experience his cultural roots. I loved that our 13 year old son said, “This is really cool. Thanks for bringing me here.” It was a win!!
The best parts:
Traveling with Evaneos made everything so easy! We loved our trip and it is hard to pinpoint what our best part was. My son loved Teotihuacán the most. I loved Xochimilco and the location of our hotel. We were able to walk right to the Zócalo and enjoy the local sights, shops, and flavors of MX. We felt very safe and recommend it to everyone! Our driver Noe and tour guide Rosario were the best. They took very good care of us and it felt like we had family in Mexico. I truly missed them after spending a week with them! Rosario was very knowledgeable and took time to show us places that we would have never found on our own. Noe was an excellent driver and got us to our destinations quickly and safely. Five stars for the hospitality! Gracias Noe y Elvira!
The worst parts:
I suppose that there wasn’t enough time to see everything. We wish we had a window to the outside in our hotel.

Overall despite the 4 points raised above we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, visited lots of places we wanted to, but a shame the guide/company used whilst in Mexico City was rubbish - you should stop using him
The best parts:
Communication was great up until we arrived in Mexico
The worst parts:
Once we got to Mexico it wasn't great - 1. Nobody to meet us on arrival, had to call the office to find out why nobody was there to greet us, then had to wait almost an hour for someone to collect us. 2. 2 of the organised trips in Mexico City were AWEFUL - the guide was clueless, told things as fact that were rubbish, and took us to places NOT on our itinerary, then told us there was little or no time to visit the places we WANTED to see and had paid for - way too much time forced into gift shops we had ZERO interest in - felt ripped off, and abused. 3. Booked a food tour, and was given the completely wrong address to go to in our itinerary - not very helpful in sorting this out, and not very apologetic getting it wrong in the first place. 4. Generally little specific info on travel arrangements during the trip - ie who was picking us up where and when - not helpful, info given was far to vague.

I was there 35 years ago. My traveling companion was never there. The city is vibrant, and really too large to be absorbed in one short visit. The itinerary was excellent :a nice array of museums, fun stuff ( Xochimilco, Ballet Folklorico, ) and archeological sites. The Diego Rivera murals were expertly interpreted by our guide, José. Nice to have evenings to wander.
The best parts:
Jose our tour guide: personable, knowledgeable, flexible. The itinerary was excellently curated. The pace was very good. The driver managed to get through the traffic so we felt safe. He was prompt in getting to meeting points.
The worst parts:
The traffic. Although some was the result of demonstrations, it would have been nice to have been given a subway map for when we were on our own.i was in México City 35years ago and the traffic has gotten exponentially worse. The metro is great!

The trip was well prepared and I think we made the most of our Yucatan holidays! We particularly appreciated the diversity of our discoveries (cultural visits, boat trip to see the flamingos, swimming with the fishes in Holbox, ...).
The best parts:
Yucatan is very appropriate and well adapted for a traveling trip, in particular with two children (9 yo & 13 yo). We particularly enjoyed the Yokodzonote Cenote, the boat trip in Celestun, Uxmal visits and swimming with the fishes in Holbox!
The worst parts:
You always have to be very concentrated when driving a car, as there are lots of nasty bumpers on the road (sometimes not clearly indicated!).

We loved visiting Yucatan and Quintana Roo! It was incredibly hot and humid, so the best parts of the trip were when we were in water, including four cenotes, a snorkel day where we saw sea turtles in Akumal, and floating down a lazy river in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. The adults enjoyed learning about and comparing the three Mayan ruins we visited; Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and Coba. Our favorite hotel was *** in Merida, with a lovely & comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and excellent restaurant for dinner. Our favorite local guide was Santi with *** (environmentally and socially responsible tourism company) who led us on the day trip through Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve and Muyil archaeological site.
The best parts:
We enjoyed our adventurous itinerary created with our extremely helpful local agent, Harriet! Harriet's native language is English, but we understand she speaks Spanish as well. We loved swimming in many cenotes, taking a boat tour of Rio Lagartos to see wildlife, visiting the Cocoa Museum near Uxmal, taking a guided tour of Loltun Caves, riding bicycles around the ruins of Coba and climbing to the top of the main pyramid, snorkeling with sea turtles in Akumal, and floating down a lazy river in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
The worst parts:
Pushy vendors in Chichen Itza,. Our driver for the week was friendly, however he did not always know where to go, and we missed one tour site because of that. The English speaking tour guides at Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and Hacienda Sotuta de Peon all had heavy accents which made it difficult for our children (ages 9 and 6) to understand. While we loved our Loltun tour guide (he was so local, he grew up playing in the grotto before it was a tourist attraction), it would have been nice to know that we would need to pay for a local guide in order to enter the grotto.

We spent a week in Mexico in and around Valladolid, Mérida and ended our trip with a relaxing stay on Holbox Island. I loved being able to explore the cenotes (cavernous fresh water swimming holes), Mayan archeological sites and the Rio Lagartos water reserve during the afternoon and return back to the city of Valladolid or Mérida in the evening for a tasty meal of authentic Mayan cuisine. It was a perfect mix of outdoor adventure, food and culture. We met many friendly people along the way...we made efforts to communicate as much as possible in Spanish and it completely enriched our travel experience. A truly unforgettable trip!
The best parts:
We loved swimming in the cenotes, eating all of the delicious Mexican food and exploring the Mayan ruins Uxmal, Chichen Itza and Ek Balam.
The worst parts:
Everything was perfect!

We had a lot of programs we did for the first time in our lives: - floating down on a Maya canal in the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve - dive in the Grand cenoté - to participate in the urban fiesta in Merida - see the Palm sunday procession and the fantastic flower carpets in Antigua Guatemala - staying 20 meters from the lava flow on the Pacaya volcano - to explore the Mayan world
The best parts:
Simply everything. The local partner agency and especially our personal travel advisor Ivana have made a perfect job. During the organization, she found a solution to all our wishes. The hotels were chosen very carefully, all close to the attractions. All of the accommodation was special (beach bungallo, chalet in the jungle, hacienda with the inner garden ... etc). All tour guides were very kind and calm, and most of all they were careful about the exact arrival. We've got a lot of extra information about each of their cities, people, habits, and natural attractions. Ivana has escorted our journey and has always been notified in time if we had to prepare for any change or problem.
The worst parts:
the bad thing is that it is over
