Comfort & Adventure in the Land of Inuit.

A different country, unique and until very recently, isolated from western customs and lifestyles. Discover iceberg- covered seas and the paradoxes of a country called "Green Land" which, nevertheless, has the second-largest polar ice cap in the world, just behind Antarctica.

We propose the most complete adventure break in Greenland. Exploring the icebergs filled fiords with our adventurous RIB boats, navigation close to some of the largest glacier fronts in south Greenland and kayaking opportunities among icebergs...

In just a few days you will gain first-hand knowledge of the home of the Inuit, the history of the first settlers, its most beautiful valleys, the most impressive glaciers and its waters dotted with blue-tinged ice.

The Qassiarsuk and Igaliku area in the region represents the most comprehensive and rich examples of Norse and Greenlandic farming culture. This unique heritage has been recently recognized and inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On some starry nights, we will also enjoy the awe-inspiring show of the Northern Lights, in a place – southern Greenland – famous the world over for the frequency in which these spirits of the north can be seen on summer nights from August. GREENLAND, without a doubt, a genuine land of contrasts.

Transfer in RIB boat through Tunulliarfik Fjord to Qassiarsuk. Visit of the church ruins and the settlement of Eric the Red comprising the old Brattahlid, capital of Viking Greenland, and where Erik the Red settled in 985. Walk through the village of about 50 inhabitants, mostly farmers.

This Norse and Greenlandic core farming area where in 2017 inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List under the title: Kujataa Greenland: A Norse and Inuit farming landscape on the Edge of the Ice Cap.

Qassiarsuk area represents the most comprehensive and rich example of both Norse and Greenlandic farming histories and contains ruins of large cattle-based Norse farms and their numerous satellite sites including, not least, Erik the Red’s Brattahlid. It was also here that Otto Frederiksen in 1924 established the first sheep farm after Igaliku, founding today’s settlement of Qassiarsuk.

Later on, 4x4 trip to the beautiful Tasiusaq farm, where seven people live in notable isolation next to Sermilik fjord, which is almost always blocked by the ice from icebergs coming from Eqaloruutsit glacier.

Once we disembark from the boat, we will start and easy hike to cross the “Kongevejen”, or Path of the Kings. Our destination will be the idyllic Igaliku, a small Inuit settlement inhabited by no more than 40 people. This town is famous for being the most beautiful settlement in Greenland, and where we can discover the ruins of Gardar, the archdiocese and religious capital of Viking Greenland, the Norse bishop’s farm – the largest in all of Greenland- and the setting of Anders Olsen’s farm, the unique architecture of the Igaliku stone houses. The area has been recently declared part of the Unesco World Heritage List.

After eating in Igaliku, return in the afternoon to Itilleq, and then by boat to Narsarsuaq.

On our way to Narsarsuaq, we will visit the Qooroq Fjord, where one of the most active glaciers in southern Greenland can be found, navigating to the area where iceberg density will make it impossible to carry on, and which is without doubt one of Greenland's best images.
