Built on one of the island's coastal hillsides, Oia is one of the best-known villages on Santorini. The views of the sea you get from the town, with its little white houses forming the backdrop, are quite wonderful.

My suggestion:
Avoid visiting at the height of the tourist season so that you can take advantage of the lower prices and enjoy greater peace and tranquility.
Summary:

This is one of the most romantic places in the world for me. It's definitely somewhere to include high on the list of places to see when visiting Greece. Furthermore, and to reinforce the romantic impression, I saw a number of couples having their marriage photos taken while I was here.

What I enjoyed doing most here was walking around the centre of the town and looking at the little white houses set into the rocky hillside. I found the contrast they offered with the dark blue of the infinity pools simply stunning.

Furthermore, it is said that the sunsets at Oia are the most beautiful in the world.

Oia has a wide range of traditional local food to offer. I recommend trying the Koftas, a very tasty kind of meatball, and of course the tzatziki, a yoghurt-based sauce containing cucumber, lemon and mint. For dessert, you can simply stop at any of the cafés in the town and treat yourself to some of the many Greek cakes and pastries they have available.
