Today you visit the beautiful city of Potsdam during a full day tour! Your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby. Potsdam is best known for the magnificent palaces and parks (UNESCO World heritage sites) that date back to its time as the former royal seat of Prussia. During the tour you will see the highlights of this city including the Glienicke Bridge. This bridge connected Potsdam and Berlin and is the place where East and West exchanged secret agents and spies until the 1980s.
Afterwards you are going to visit the Dutch Quarter and the famous Nauener and Brandenburg Gates.The next stop is Cecilienhof Palace, which was the last castle built by the Hohenzollern dynasty. The Potsdam Conference took place there in 1945, at which the four victorious powers decided to divide Berlin and Germany.
Afterwards you continue to the famous Palace Sanssouci. No other castle is more closely associated with Frederick the Great than Sanssouci. It was his summer residence and the name Sanssouci – “without worries” – should be understood as the striving and leitmotif of the king. There the king preferred to surround himself with his closest friends, the intellectual elite of his court and enlightened scientists and writers from Italy and France.

Pick up your rental car and start your journey on the German Autobahn! You will drive along the Romantic Road - a trade route during the middle ages. Germany’s Romantic Road still retains much of its medieval character. The road often winds through forgotten sections of countryside, connecting walled towns and picturesque villages.
Your first stop on the Romantic Road is be Wuerzburg. (driving time: approx. 5h).
Arriving in Wuerzburg, you will have time for checking in to your hotel and relaxing a bit. Later that day, your guide will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a 2 hours private tour through the pretty historic old town.
A stroll through the Old Town of Würzburg explores a number of great places. The program includes the Marienkapelle and its sandstone sculptures by Tilman Riemenschneider, the Falkenhaus and its elaborate rococo facade, the historical town hall and the Kiliansdom. The program concludes with a view from the Alte Mainbrücke (Old Main River Bridge) of the Fortress Marienberg, the pilgrimage church Käppele, and the surrounding vineyards. In the evening you will accompany the Rothenburg Night Watchman on his entertaining and informative rounds through the darkness. Follow him through dark alleyways and across dimly lit squares and enjoy the special mood of the town at night. Listen to his stories and find out how the people lived in the Middle Ages – a wonderful finale for your evening in Rothenburg. This is a public tour. In the morning you may visit the one and only German Christmas museum on your own - open all year! Here every day it feels like Christmas every day. The exhibition comprises more than 5,000 exhibits, giving an overview of the history and the secular customs of Christmas festivities from the 4th century up to the 1950s. Historical tree decorations made of glass, wax, cotton wool, tin, cardboard and tragacanth, also candleholders and historical nutcrackers, all in beautiful surroundings, illustrate how the celebrations of the season have changed over time, and whisk visitors off into a Christmas wonderland at any time of the year.

Today you will be visiting Germany’s number 1 fairy-tale castle: Neuschwanstein Castle! We have tickets reserved for an inside tour of the castle for you. Built from 1869 to 1886 it is unique in the world with its breathtaking location and fantastic interior decorations. Hohenschwangau Castle is also located next to Neuschwanstein Castle. En route we recommend stopping at Wieskirche Church – a stunning Catholic pilgrimage church in Rococo style; Oberammergau - a typical Bavarian village renowned for the painted houses “Lüftlmalerei”. It is also the village where every 10 years the Passion Play takes place. And Ettal Abbey. Overnight at 4* hotel in Füssen.
Check out from your hotel in the morning and drive to another beautiful castle: Linderhof Palace! Linderhof Palace and its surrounding park is another palace built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. In fact, this "Royal Villa" is the only palace he was able to complete. Behind the Baroque facade, beautiful and richly decorated Rococo-styled rooms can be found.
Continue to Oberammergau village - a typical Bavarian village renowned for its painted houses “Lüftlmalerei”. It is also the village where the Passion Play takes place every 10 years. Near Oberammergau the impressive abbey complex Ettal is located. Continue to Munich. Return your rental car. Overnight at 4* hotel in Munich.
In the morning you are meeting our guide for a walking city tour followed by Viktualienmarkt market tasting tour (perfect for lunch, duration: 4 hours)! You will be visiting places for good food & company like the Hofbräuhaus and the famous Viktualien Market Square as well as historical buildings and squares like the New Town hall, the Church of our Lady and Stachus square. On Viktualienmarkt the marketeers are happy to take time for you and tell you about their products and their history while you get to taste their Bavarian delicacies like Obatzter with fresh bread and local cheese.
