Whoever goes to Corsica cannot escape Palombadja beach. With its postcard-like setting, it transports us straight into a tropical dream. Sandy and rocky, Palombadja is hot and sexy. It's also trendy and therefore very crowded.
My suggestion:
If you want to grab a spot on the beach, you'll need to get up early. This beach is probably Corsica's most touristy beach. Sat among children and groups of friends, a lazy can turn into a fight against summer tourism.
Summary:
My advice is to park on the far left of the beach and then set off on a stroll all the way to the end of the bay where you can find some peace. Palombaggia is basically one beach divided into several parts. Turquoise lagoons are separated by rocks and bits of scrubland. Walking helps you to understand Palombaggia as well as enjoy its peace and quiet.
There are lots of tourist activities to help pass the time while on the beach. Jet skiing, fly boarding, pedal boats, and buoys. As for the food, there are lots of straw huts which serve food and drink. The prices are rather high, but it saves you from having to lug a cool box around with you on the beach.
Palombaggia is ideal for finding trendy parties and bouncing places. Seasonal workers and communications teams often wander along the beach handing out flyers or talking about parties from the day before.
The positives: it's a complete change of scenery and you'll feel a million miles away from France.
The negatives: expensive parking.
