Often called an island within an island by its residents, Cap Corse is a presque-isle located on Corsica's north east coast.

My suggestion:
Don't be afraid of doing the complete tour of both sides of Cap Corse – the two sides have their respective points of interest.
Summary:

Cap Corse is an unmissable place to visit during your visit to Corsica. I loved the diversity of Cap Corse, lined with hills and maquis and parallel valleys, which are home to prosperous villages and cultures. The local culture remains markedly different from that of the rest of the island, which is largely due to its relative isolation. If you are travelling from Bastia, a tour of Cap Corse will take a day – but you can also do it in stages, over the course of a few days.

If you take a tour of Cap Corse, you will find maquis plants, villages perched on mountains and surrounded by vineyards, tiny marinas and small fishing ports. In addition, a number of mountainside paths and tracks offer stunning panoramas of this tip of Corsica. Among all of this you will find a number of rocky reefs – all of which are spread out and sheltered, meaning there are many places in which you can spend some time along.
