Brač is located 30 minutes by ferry from Split and is my favourite island in Croatia.

My suggestion:
Spend at least a week here and leave all your cares and worries behind!
Summary:

Brač is a place where time seems to have come to a complete standstill. It is a wonderful place to come to rest and relax when touring Croatia, far from the hustle and bustle of the city and the mainland.

I spent a lot of time travelling around the island by both car and bicycle when I was here, exploring its verdant hills, deserted coves and tiny fishing villages. The coastal paths there are to be found all around Brač make for some lovely seaside walks.

The island is famous for its stonemasonry school, which is definitely somewhere worth going to see. You can see and admire wonderful sculptures created by former students more or less everywhere on Brač.
