After completing a 15-day South American cruise on********* from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina, we wanted to visit the Iguazu Falls. We selected Evaneos to put together a four-day trip for us. I had used Evaneos in the past and would certainly use them again. Our goal was to visit both the Brazil and the Argentina sides of the Falls. We stayed in a little hotel outside of the town of Iguazu. It was $5.00 for a taxi ride into town--that included a generous tip. There are a number of good restaurants in town that we enjoyed. I would recommend visiting the Brazil side of the Falls on the first and then the Argentina side on the second day with a boat ride at the end of the second day.
The best parts:
We had a fabulous tour guide. *********, **************** was excellent. She was punctual, informative, got us to our destinations before the crowds, made going through immigrations easy. I can't say enough positive things about her. I would highly recommend her to anyone making a visit to the Iguazu Falls.
The worst parts:
Although our hotel was nice our room was a disappointment. The room was small and our bathroom was even smaller. In order to take a shower you had to leave the door open. Having just gotten off a cruise ship it was hard to believe that a bathroom could be smaller than what was on the ship. What made it worse was that our friends that we were traveling with had a very large room.

We spent three days in Buenos Aires and 5 days in Bariloche, Argentina. We had wonderful weather and a good time with old friends. We have used Evaneos several times in the past with excellent results, but had a little more trouble this time as described above.
The best parts:
All the scheduled events went perfectly which was much appreciated. We have always found Evaneos to be very reliable in that regard.
The worst parts:
We were in Buenos Aries for just 3 days and had never been there before. We wanted a private guided tour, but Cecilia kept saying we could tour the city on our own. We probably could, but we are in our 70’s and wanted a guide. We finally turned to ************ for a guided tour and driver and they provided a wonderful service, but I was disappointed we couldn’t get it thru Evaneos. I’m Bariloche, we had to pay entrance fees to the national parks which seemed ridiculous since our tours were scheduled to take us into the parks. Why weren’t those fees paid in advance as part of our fees to you?

Argentina is a great country to visit: so many wonderful sights , friendly people and great food at excellent value prices. The local guides were excellent especially the one we had on the 15k walk in El Chalten : kept the group going at a good pace. The arrangements such as pick ups all worked well with just one minor hiccup with one hotel which gave us a double bed rather than twin beds but was able to rectify the next day.
The best parts:
The highlights were the Perito Merino Glacier , the Iguazu falls and seeing penguins on an island in the ********channel.
The worst parts:
It was a lot of travelling , but still that’s what you have to do to get to see the great natural wonders

In completed my ironman race. I saw iguazu falls and the ice sheets of Ushuaia. Once in a lifetime experiences.
The best parts:
The places I saw. The assistance I got from evangelos to get me to the airports and hotels. I did not speak Spanish and knew it would be an obstacle.
The worst parts:
The amount of flying required in Argentina to get around.

We chose Argentina because we have a friend there. We loved El Bariloche. The mountain trek to the Frey Refuge was wonderful. We also loved Iguazu. The Falls are spectacular. Buenos Aires was interesting. The booked excursion was great. And we loved the tango show. All of our tour guides were excellent.
The best parts:
The locations we chose were exceptional. The lodging was excellent - rooms were clean, staff was helpful, etc. Our local agency was with us every step of the way. When we ran into a couple of issues, Pablo made sure everything was in order and that we had transport and/or accommodation.
The worst parts:
Domestic flights in Argentina are not reliable.

For Us South America was the place to complete vacations in all Continents . Was one of our dreams to visit Chile e Argentina . All the places are magical . The most enjoyable Bariloche excursion with our guide Romina and the driver ..I WILL SEND SOME PHOTOS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE . LAST NOTE : EACH PLACE THAT WE VISITED WHERE BREATHTAKING .
The best parts:
Fantastic !!! The Creation in display . Great organization , great people and reliable local agency . Nice hotels centrally located or even outside the town but so cozy that you are glad to be there . . Special mention for our guide in Bariloche , her name is Romina . Was like a old friend , We enjoy her knowledge of the place. Pick up an drop off airport to hotel or viceversa was impeccable. Special mention for Oleksandra : was the mastermind of this unforgettable trip . Thank You for your effort to make all so nice . Thank's to You Evaneos for your professionalism .
The worst parts:
Two moments that made me and my wife no happy ( is in a constructive say ) where: 1) in Puerto Varas . The bus left us with the luggage in the bus stop ,,instead to drop Us in the hotel . We did not know the place or where the hotel was . A person help to have a taxi that took Us in the Cabanas Del Lago. The person responsible for our safe stop to the hotel just did not care . 2) Hotel NH Edelweis in Bariloche . Beautiful 4 star hotel . The room for Us was (to be good , 2 star) depressing with a view of old iron dusted roofs . I was very embarrassed to my wife .I updated the room that I supposed to have in a 4 star hotel. ( All the other hotels rooms where i stay : amazing ) . All this do not change my 4 1/2 stars for this trip .

We loved the whole trip to Argentina, but the highlight was Patagonia - superb throughout. The local guides were knowledgeable and generally spoke excellent English.
The best parts:
Overall organisation, being met at airports, excellent support from local agent
The worst parts:
Not much. Some hotels were average, but we had only booked 3* accommodation

I enjoyed every location. The variety across Chile and Argentina from the volcanic north to the Patagonian south was stunning. All of the tours were great. Highlight would be Perito Moreno Glacier walk which was out of this world. The organisation of things was seemless and I felt well looked after.
The best parts:
The organisation was great. Arriving at each location, receiving a detailed itinerary was great. The tours, especially the Perito Moreno Glacier tour were amazing. The local agency kept in touch via WhatsApp which was very helpful.
The worst parts:
Two of the hotels were not great for different reasons: Costaustralis in Puerto Natalas - poor service and employee attitude Xelena in Calafate - not up to the quoted 5 stars

The hotel was very relaxing with a lovely breakfast. My family enjoyed the pool and the garden. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is perfect--very close to the beach and within easy walking distance of restaurants. It was also fun to walk around the neighbourhood and see all the different houses.
The best parts:
The people, the hotel location, the food, the beach, the weather.
The worst parts:
It was too short!

WE booked a 16 day vacation in Argentina through Evaneos. The highlight of our vacation was a 3 day tour around Salta in the Andes where we had an excellent guide and visited some wonderful locations. We also visited Bariloche in Patagonia and had a guided visit to visit to Iguazu falls which I would highly recommend. Our trip was well organised by Evanos and the local agent was very helpful. We had to re-book a flight (due to adverse weather) and this was handled smoothly by the agent in Buenos Aires.
The best parts:
This was the highlight of our visit to Argentina. Salta is a beautiful city and our hotel was located just off the main plaza (a great location). The hotel (Hotel Balcon de la Plaza) was charming and the staff very accommodating. The tour of the Lerma Valley, Cachi, Purmamarca, Tilcara and the Quebrada de Humahuaca were the highlights of our vacation. Our guide for the 3 days was from Uma travel (Javier) and he was great. He had an excellent knowledge of the local history and culture. Javier also chose very good restaurants for lunch and dinner featuring the local cuisine.
The worst parts:
Unfortunately, our final stay in Buenos Aires, which was over Christmas (23-27 December) was disappointing. The agent booked us into hotel Casa Sur Palermo since over the Christmas period Palermo was supposed to be more lively, with numerous bars and restaurants open, compared with the centre of the city. Unfortunately, the opposite was the case; the majority of the bars and restaurants were closed. In addition, the hotel was not disappointing as many of the facilities were not available. The other disappointmnet was our visit to an estancia on 23 December. Unfortunately, the property we visited, RANCH VILLA MARIA, was not a ranch at all but a country hotel where the main activity was organized polo matches or polo lessons (neither of which we had requested). The only activity was a horse ride (20 minutes) and a carriage ride (15 minutes).

We flew from Buenos Aires to La Bara, Uruguay. We were met by an English speaking guide who did a great job filling us in on where to eat and shop. The Posada de los Pajaros hotel staff were very accommodating, allowing us to eat a brunch when we arrived. For our entire time on the property staff were ideal and the property is immaculate with a wonderful view of the beach and a swimming pool always kept at the perfect temperature. Breakfasts are very good, with plenty of continental choices of pastry, meats, cheeses and breads.
The best parts:
Oleksandra, our agent, did a great job finding us the perfect travel and accommodations. The flight was short and comfortable, the overland travel was quick and friendly, and the hotel was ideal, quiet, near the beach and family friendly. Staff were courteous and knowledgable. Would be happy to book from Oleksandra again.
The worst parts:
No complaints.

Great trip despite a little miscommunication around a couple of excursions. Spent a lot of time in buenos aires so next time will make sure to spend more time in countryside. I'd be interested in potentially going back next year for Iguazu and Bariloche.
The best parts:
Very well organized by Shandra. Found the Argentines very nice and hospitable
The worst parts:
Miscommunication around a couple of excursions. Should have booked a 3-4 day trek to have more time outside. I would not recommend doing business with Ryan's travel in El Calafate.

A journey through magnificent, even breathtaking, scenery both during the tour around Salta, Cafayate, Purmamarca and the extraordinary Iguazu falls. Villages and small towns such as Salta, Cafayate, Cachi and Humahuaca were very pleasant places to see though the itinerary does not give much time to visit them. We particularly enjoyed Cafayate and Humahuaca. Our time in Purmamarca was much spoilt by an unpleasant situation with our hotel accommodation.
The best parts:
Excellent guides in Salta, Iguazu Falls and Buenos Aires. Beautiful scenery throughout.
The worst parts:
Long journeys on difficult roads. One poor accommodation and unhelpful staff at the hotel Casa de Adobe in Purmamarca. It did spoil our stay there.
